Hey! I'm Tamzin Smith...
... a portrait photographer who creates pain-free portraits for personal branding, business and social media, online dating profiles, or simply for personal enjoyment (recently added: dog portraits!), serving all kinds of people and businesses in the Washington, DC area. I love hiking with my husband and dog, cooking and eating whole foods, Crossfit workouts and weightlifting, good ice cream and barbeque. I'm also a productivity junkie, a life hacker, and can't seem to settle on a hair style.

Why I do this
I believe everyone is photogenic, given good guidance and good light! And everyone needs a good headshot or portrait for some reason: business, social, dating, sharing. I like the challenge, and I like to help.
How I work
I work in home or on location, indoors or out, natural light or strobe. When we discuss your needs and your vision, we can decide the right look and location for you. I do not sell prints—all images are delivered as digital files.
Fun Facts about me
I was once an international fashion model, and had a long career as a graphic designer and illustrator before discovering digital photography, fully transitioning to portrait photography in 2014.
